Hair Straightener Philips BHB87800 Review

  • I got this product for free, but it doesn’t affect my opinion in any way. Visually, the curling iron makes a lot of things, the black and gold design looks classy and modern. At the edge the two bars are gold, which makes the whole thing extremely different from other devices. Handling: After I sprayed heat protection spray and checked and checked with the included test clip how big or wide the strand may be, I was already able to get started: plug in and then I quickly have the lowest heat level of 170 degrees and the shortest time of 8 seconds because I have long and lots of hair, but they are quite thin. The cable is also long enough, which makes styling extremely easy. So I have to admit that I was at first slightly overwhelmed with the device. You should hold it vertically with the slot in front and then press the button. That was really good and easy for the front hair, but it was a bit complicated at the back of the head. If you press the button, the curler automatically pulls the streak in, then there is a short beep and as soon as the beep comes more often and quickly in succession, the set time is over and you can let the curler slide vertically down and the streak like pulling it out, for example. If the curler sets the curls to the right on the lever, the curls are turned to the right or to the left. The differences between them were already extremely clear. But I mainly chose the sign in the middle, where the curls were alternately turned in different directions. If you changed the temperature, the curls became even more intense and strong. But I didn’t want to overdo it with the heat:) The handling was ultimately child’s play after initial small problems and I was able to quickly conjure up beautiful curls. Even if I once took a slightly wider strand, it was turned up nicely. But I wanted to know exactly and took an extremely wide and thick strand. But the curler refused and just beeped …. Really great, so nothing can happen to the hair. I also think it’s especially great that you can’t burn yourself on the curling iron at all, no matter what you do. In addition, the streak itself was not as hot after pulling out as with my other stick, where I already knew who burned my hand or face. Result: I am completely satisfied with the result of the Philips Prestige device. In no time you have beautiful curls and somehow also softer and shiny hair. The different settings really have natural looking and natural curls and waves. My long hair also got beautiful curls and waves due to the longer curling iron compared to others right down to the last tip. Because it is also longer and can therefore take up more and longer hair, the whole styling procedure is also much faster. It’s also great that the curls became nice and intense even at low temperatures.

  • I have been using the Philips AutoCurler for about a month now and so far I am very satisfied. The handling was a bit unfamiliar at the beginning, but now I get along better with the AutoCurler than with a conventional curling iron and I also find the result more beautiful / even. I think that’s the same settings and max. Due to the thickness of the strands of hair – from a certain thickness of the strand of hair to be curled, screwing in no longer works and the device switches itself off. At the beginning this happened to me 2-3 times, but afterwards the strand could be pulled out of the device without any problems or damage. For people who take it very precisely, a plastic aid is included, with which the max. Can measure the thickness of the strand of hair .. For me, however, this was too cumbersome in the long run and also very small (I could easily use a strand of hair twice as thick and got a nice result). Logically, the result changes with different strands of hair thickness and temperature / time settings from light waves to defined curls, which also gives some scope for hairstyles. In addition, you have the option to choose the direction of rotation (left / right) or by chance for a natural-looking result. My hair doesn’t go all the way to the middle of the back and is very fine and smooth, which means that curls have never lasted long. With the AutoCurler, however, they last relatively long in comparison. More defined curls last about half a day with hairspray and hang out over time (which I still find nice). My favorite are “beach waves” anyway and they hold great with the device, so that you can still have wavy hair on the second day. Compared to other such products on the market, I find above all the vertical operation great! So the arm does not get quite as tired when using it (especially at the back of the head, which can be a bit tricky at the beginning). There is also nothing to complain about in terms of processing. The AutoCurler looks valuable and robust, which also results in a certain weight – which is balanced out quite well by the vertical operation. Of course it is a change in comparison to conventional curling irons or the straightening iron for turning curls, but the handles can be removed very quickly and in the end you get a more even and natural result. All in all, I can only recommend the device.

  • I am glad that despite the long delivery date (6 weeks) I bought the lick stick. 1. Easy handling. With my old curling iron, I always had pain in my wrist when I was done with my hair. In addition, the hair was very fuzzy and the hair was dry. With the new it works just fine – take strands, curls up by itself. The streak shines right up to the tips and looks like it was made by a professional. 2. Durability. My hairs are long (60cm), the curls hold all day and evening without setting and hairspray. The next morning you can still see the curls. If I brush you then there are still big waves. 3. Different curls and waves So far, I’ve only twisted the hair at the highest level 210 degrees longest duration. The further up the device attaches to the head, the shorter the hair becomes. I can’t say how it looks with waves. 3. I find it practical that you can either turn the sides outwards, or that the action alternately makes the curls independently. I can give a clear buy recommendation for long hair. I don’t want to give it up anymore. I jazzed up all the other routine ducks brushes and curling irons that I had. Absolutely 5 stars.

  • The Philips Style Care Prestige Auto Curler is an automatic curling iron that makes life a lot easier for us women through simple and quick hair styling! I received the product free of charge as part of a product test. However, Philips has no influence on my rating. I am a big fan of curls and I have to say that I have never been able to make beautiful curls so easily and quickly. I was really “flat” when I started using the device for the first time – how easy and fast it can be to have great curls. The handling of the Auto Curler takes some getting used to, but if you try it a bit and get used to it, it is child’s play and very quick – it is no comparison to styling with a conventional curling iron. There is no danger of getting burned on the fingers or ears while styling the car curler, as has happened to me before. Also you don’t take an uncomfortable posture when holding the electric curling iron, you just hold the device upright, take a strand of hair and actually just loosely place it on the opening of the device – the rest of the auto curler does it all by itself! No more annoying and exhausting handwrapping around the hot rod any longer. The device automatically turns the strand of hair when the corresponding switch is actuated and even notifies you when the strand is finished by beeping in close succession. The result is really impressive! The curls look very natural and hold very well even with long hair. The Auto Curler stands out due to its elegant design, the device looks and feels very high quality. It has a comfortable weight. You can choose between different settings – curls on the left, curls on the right and mixed, which looks the most natural. Very clear buy recommendation!

  • The product was provided to me free of charge as part of a product test and Philips has no editorial influence on the rating. This only reflects my honest opinion: The device is easy to use and is designed as “foolproof” as possible: It has three temperature levels and three different directions of rotation (right, left, random) and is very comfortable to hold. It works very intuitively, i.e. you cut off a small strand of hair, insert it into the device from above and press the start button. Next, the strand is twisted and you have to wait until you hear a beep. Then you can pull out the strand of hair and enjoy curly hair. It even works so well that you don’t even need a mirror. If there are problems pulling in the hair, the device switches off automatically. I find this very useful, because in the stupidest case you could otherwise destroy your hair badly or even injure yourself. The autocurler is not, which makes handling very pleasant, and the device hardly shows any possibilities of how you could burn yourself. Compared to other curling irons / devices, it is designed to be very safe. The curls themselves are beautiful in my eyes, but thin. If you want to curl thick strands, you will be happy with the device because it does not work properly – at least it did not work properly for me, which can also be due to the fact that my hair goes to the bottom and the device has to process more mass accordingly , I would very much like to mention that the curls from the autocurler are so far the only ones that can be used on my hair for a whole day without the addition of hairspray etc. have held. The autocurler convinced me and I can recommend it to anyone who would like to make quick and beautiful curls. If you want to make thick curls, you should simply try it out and find out for yourself whether it works with your own hair.

  • I have owned the Philips StyleCare Prestige AutoCurler (BHB876 / 00) for a little over a month now. I tested the AutoCurler extensively and wore the curls in different situations. I have worn my hair both open and in updos and have worn the hairstyles both in everyday life as well as at celebrations and parties. After my 1 month test phase, I would now like to submit my rating. Appearance: Visually, I really like the Philips StyleCare Prestige Auto Curler. The gold-colored accents on a black background make it look very high quality. The device lies comfortably in the hand and has a pleasant weight. Operation: The operation of the Philips StyleCare Prestige Auto Curler is very easy, even if it does not explain itself. A quick look at the operating instructions explains in a few clear steps how to operate the device. The Internet also offers many videos that show how the device works. With the help of a strand separator included in the scope of delivery, you can quickly and easily cut off an optimally thick strand of hair and then start using it after a short heating-up time. The cut strand of hair is now inserted into the device and automatically drawn into the device with the push of a button. As soon as a corresponding signal tone sounds, you can get the strand out of the device and has a perfectly shaped curl. Another button on the Auto Curler makes it possible to change the direction of rotation of the curl. Personal experience: I have already tested many curling irons and many of them were disposed of or resold after a short time because they were simply overwhelmed with my long thick hair. The result was always completely different curls and the application was a disaster. The StyleCare Auto Curler is completely different. After a short time, I felt very safe and experienced in using the device. The result of every application was perfect and evenly shaped curls. The curls hold very well and can withstand a long day or a long party. The curls last until the next hair wash, even if you sleep on them or have your hair in an updo. I am satisfied with the device. In everyday life, the curls are sometimes a little too strong and stiff and I usually like them a little better on the second day. The Auto Curler is ideal for chic updos or weekend parties.

  • I was provided with the Philips curling iron for a product test free of charge, but this does not affect my opinion of the product. Handling: Before I had this device, I haven’t had a beautiful curly hairstyle for a long time. The reason for this was simply that it took me super long for my long hair. With this curling iron, the hair is opened in a flash and you have much work and saves an incredible amount of time. The operation is very easy, a few strands of practice were enough to get the hang of it quickly. The device is very light, which makes it comfortable to hold. Settings: The nice thing is that you have various setting options directly on the device. On the one hand, you have the option of selecting the direction of rotation of the curls. I achieved the best result if I varied the direction of rotation in between. This made the curls look very natural in the end! You can also set the duration and choose between 8, 10 and 12 seconds. An acoustic signal sounds when the curl is ready. The heat can also be regulated very easily, at levels 170, 190 and 210 degrees. For my hair, I had to use the hottest level for the best result, but I think that the lower levels are sufficient for thinner hair. The only criticism I can find on the curling iron is that it gets hot enough at 210 degrees, but there is no longer the possibility to set it even hotter. Conclusion: I really can only recommend the curling iron! You can conjure up a great hairstyle in a short time, handling is easy and the result just looks great!

  • Unpacked and started. It couldn’t be easier. Although I usually like to watch user videos on electrical devices such as smartphones, ovens or food processors on YouTube, I did not do this product test to see if the description alone is sufficient. It does. A brief introduction: -how do I keep the device in operation: because – contrary to what I thought the open end has to move away from the head, -how do I switch the device on (what a surprise, with the power button) – what curling options do I have (3rd different, the respective setting is illustrated in the description) -how does it work with the beeping (4x in a row means to release the button and simply pull the lock out of the device) and -how do I switch the device off again (the switch button becomes a switch off button) is enough. There is also a control for “all curls turning right / left” or “every curl changes direction”. Handling takes some getting used to the first time. But I think over time I’ll get the hang of it (#superword game). I still struggle in which hand I hold the device on which side of the head. I will practice a little more. The result: my hair is shoulder-length and really thin. First I chose the middle setting, soft curls, and automatic change of direction. Next time I will keep this setting at the front, but select “fixed curls” at the back because the lengths unhook relatively quickly. The curls with this setting appear natural and soft. Exactly how I wanted it. Except for fumbling around the back of the head, handling was really easy the first time. As you know, practice makes perfect, and I plan to become one. The device sits comfortably in the hand, has a bit of weight, but is really great to handle. It doesn’t get hot from the outside, maybe “lukewarm”, and I’m not afraid to burn anything with it during use. I received the product for this test free of charge.

  • I was allowed to try this product for free as part of a product test and hereby give my honest opinion. I am really very satisfied with the StyleCare Prestige AutoCurler (BHB876 / 00) because it makes wonderful curls that hold great! I used to use normal curling irons in the past, but they were always a bit complicated to use and it took ages for the hair to be done. In addition, they always came out steaming which cannot be good! Everything is much easier with the autocurler: insert the strand of hair, the curler pulls it in, turns it and after a few seconds when the device beeps, you can remove the strand and the curl is done. You can also set how strong the curl should be, how long it should be heated and in which direction it should be turned. Depending on the situation, you can curl your hair individually. The curls hold with me all day and even over the night, although I have very straight hair, with which nothing else lasts particularly long. The only problem I found is that sometimes I had problems with my long hair, that individual strands got tangled, but then the device goes off immediately and nothing happens to the hair. In addition, it is sometimes difficult to curl the hair completely up to the top. But that’s definitely a question of practice and handling. Unfortunately, due to the shape of the curler, sometimes you don’t get straight to the head and it is also difficult at the back of the head to get all the strands nice and curly. All in all, I am absolutely delighted with the Auto Curler and very satisfied. I would definitely recommend it.

  • The Philips StyleCare BHB876 curling iron was provided to me as part of a product test. However, this has no influence on my rating. The Philips StyleCare Prestige AutoCurler is designed in a chic black with gold accents and makes a very high quality impression. Compared to my old curling iron, it is a little heavier. In addition to the curling iron, an accessory for dividing the strands, cleaning accessories, instructions and warranty are included. The curling iron may only be used with dry hair. After a few tries, I found the application to be very easy. A section of hair that is not too large is separated from the rest of the hair and inserted into the curling iron in accordance with the operating instructions. An accessory is included to determine the ideal strand thickness. After a few tries, this can be estimated quite well even without this accessory. After inserting the hair and pressing a button, the hair is then automatically drawn into the device. There is also an acoustic signal as soon as the curls are finished. If the hair is inserted incorrectly or gets caught in the device, the device switches off automatically – so nothing can happen. The curling iron has a ceramic coating with keratin and has 3 temperature levels (170/190 and 210 degrees), 3 timer settings (8 seconds, 10 seconds or 12 seconds) and 3 settings for the curling direction (left, alternating and right). In terms of time, than 8 seconds are not possible. The heating element is protected by the device inside. This makes it difficult to burn yourself. The device also has an automatic switch-off – the device is automatically switched off after 60 minutes. In my opinion, 30 minutes would be enough. I have very fine hair – for me, 170 degrees is enough to conjure up beautiful curls. The best thing I find is the setting that creates curls that are twisted alternately to the right and left – great and beautiful curls in a few minutes. My old curling iron was actually rarely used because the time it took was too long. This curling iron will now be used more often.
